Associate Veterinarian

We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate, and energetic veterinarian experienced and confident in surgery, as well as a very friendly, client oriented individual with excellent communication skills.

Associate Veterinarian Responsibilities:

  • Provide the highest quality veterinary care and treatment to animals, therefore not only enhancing the life of the pet, but the owners’ lives as well.
  • Perform the duties usually expected of a veterinarian in an ethical and consistently professional manner in accordance with state law.
  • Manage patient care to provide quality service for each individual patient with the understanding that other patients need to be seen, therefore maintaining a smooth patient flow.
  • Inspire trust in the clients that the best recommendations are being made for their pets.
  • Effectively manage every animal’s medical needs, always demonstrating concern, compassion, and gentleness toward the animal.

Associate Veterinarian Requirements:

  • NCDVM License
  • Proficient in small animal surgery and dentistry.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Veterinarian in a small animal practice.

Veterinary Technician

We are looking for an energetic, dependable person looking to work in a fast-paced, growing practice. If you are experienced in working with very little supervision, enjoy people and pets and are looking for a challenge, you might be the person we are looking for to become part of our dedicated veterinary team.

Veterinary Technician Responsibilities:

  • A fully facilitated Doctor who is able to quickly and easily move through procedures.
  • A patient who is competently cared for throughout the visit and a client who is satisfied with the service from the office and therefore actively refers family members and friends to the practice.
  • Assist the Doctor in all procedures to most efficiently treat patients and maximize production.
  • Handle the patient flow and service to clients so they feel as comfortable as possible before, during and after the treatment of their animals.

Veterinary Technician Requirements:

Veterinary technicians must have a broad knowledge of animal science, medicine, and husbandry, including a basic knowledge of pharmacology and sufficient mathematical skills to ensure the administration of accurate drug and fluid doses.

The Technician must be able to perform many tasks without depending upon supervision or prompting from the Doctor. The Technician must have a list of priorities and duties for things such as assisting in surgery, various set-up procedures and for daily, weekly and monthly duties. The flow of a routine day can suddenly shift and change with little or no notice due to an emergency or a forgotten appointment. The Technician must be alert to these changes and be prepared to recognize changing priorities. A top priority is to be efficient with time and to facilitate the Doctor and the practice through flexibility and good judgment.

  • Skilled and trained in surgical prep, surgical assistance and anesthesia administration and monitoring.
  • Able to perform other routine functions such as dental cleanings, radiographs, check in an appointment, take and record animal’s temperature, pulse, and respiration, prepare vaccines, draw blood and place IV catheters, set up and read fecals, heartworm checks, nail trims, expressing anal glands, ear cleaning and plucking, changing bandages and wraps, removing sutures.

Kennel Assistant

We are looking for an energetic, dependable person looking to work in a fast-paced environment with animals. This person must provide a clean, efficient and healthy environment for the animals being treated or boarded at the clinic. If you are experienced in working with very little supervision, enjoy people and pets and are looking for a challenge, you might be the person we are looking for to become part of our dedicated veterinary team.

Kennel Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for the cleanliness of the clinic, including kennel area, runs, treatment area, grooming area and outside grounds.
  • Feed hospitalized animals and boarders.
  • Record important information about the animals’ condition, behavior and habits (elimination, eating, etc.).
  • Exercise the animals.
  • Call unusual problems to the attention of the Doctor or a Technician.
  • Do laundry and keep the laundry area neat.
  • Perform other duties as assigned that assist the Doctor, Receptionist and Technician in the smooth flow and operation of the clinic, care of clients and service to the clients.

Kennel Assistant Requirements:

  • A valid Driver’s License
  • A healthy respect and love for all animals.
  • Completes all work with little supervision.
  • Team oriented.
